Dahr Jamail's MidEast Dispatches
In late 2003, weary of the
overall failure of the US media to accurately report on the
realities of the war in Iraq for the Iraqi people and US soldiers,
Dahr Jamail went to Iraq to report on the war himself. Dahr
has spent a total of 8 months in occupied Iraq as one of only
a few independent US journalists in the country. In the MidEast,
Dahr has also has reported from Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
BRussells Tribunal
The BRussells Tribunal is a think tank with
activist overtones that denounces the logic of permanent war
promoted by the American goverment and its allies, affecting
for the time being particularly one region in the world: the
Middle East. It started with a people's court against the PNAC
and its role in the illegal invasion of Iraq, but continued
ever since. It tries to be a bridge between the intellectual
resistance in the Arab World and the Western peace movements.
